Privacy Policy
Last updated October 23, 2026
This policy explains what information Tapronix LLC (“we”, “us”) collects through Logtend (logtend.com, app.logtend.com and the Logtend apps for iPhone, iPad and Android), how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain.
In short: we collect what's needed to run Logtend for your company, we don't sell personal information, we don't show ads, and we don't use advertising trackers.
1. Who is responsible
For information a company puts into its Logtend account (its asset records, work orders, photos, documents and its team's activity), that company decides what is collected and why, and we process it on its behalf. For account, billing and website information, Tapronix LLC is responsible. If you're a member of a company account, questions about that company's data are best sent to the company first.
2. What we collect
- Account details: your email address, name, the company you belong to, your role, and notification preferences.
- Company data: what your team enters: assets, locations, meter readings, maintenance schedules, service history, work orders, parts and costs, inspections, check-outs (which can include a customer or driver name), documents, renewals, photos and files.
- Problem reports from QR stickers: when someone who isn't signed in reports a problem, we collect what they enter (description, and optionally their name, phone or email, and photos) and pass it to the company that owns the asset.
- Billing: plan, billing contact and invoices. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages and stored by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
- In the apps: photos you take or choose and files you pick, only when you add them to an asset or work order. The apps ask before using the camera. They don't collect your location, contacts or advertising identifiers, and don't track you across other apps.
- Technical information: sign-in session cookies, and standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) used for security and troubleshooting.
- Messages: emails you send us.
3. How we use it
- to provide Logtend: sign-in, storing and showing your company's records, reminders, reports and exports;
- to send service emails: sign-in codes, maintenance digests, assignment and problem-report notifications (you can change digests in Settings);
- to bill subscriptions and prevent fraud;
- to keep the service secure, fix problems and provide support;
- to understand usage in aggregate and improve the product;
- to meet legal obligations.
4. Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar laws)
We process personal information to perform our contract with you or your company, for our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the service, to comply with law, and with consent where we ask for it.
7. How long we keep it
We keep company data while the account is active. When an account is closed we keep it for 30 days so it can be exported, then delete it from active systems; backups are overwritten on their normal schedule. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself at any time: in the apps under More → Settings → Delete account, or on the website under Settings → Delete account. Or email us from the address on your account and we'll do it within 30 days.
Deleting removes your login, name and email. If you're the only person in your company, the company and all its records, photos and files are deleted too and any plan is cancelled. If others use the company, it stays for them, and history you recorded keeps a “Former member” label. Backups are overwritten on their normal schedule; billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Every company's data is separated with database access rules, files are private and shared only through short-lived links, and sign-in uses one-time email codes instead of passwords. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.
10. Your choices and rights
You can update your name and email preferences in Settings, and company admins can export or delete company records in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict some processing, and to complain to your data protection authority.
To make a request, email our contact form. If your information is held for a company account, we may refer you to that company. California residents: we don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we won't discriminate against you for using your rights.
11. International transfers
Logtend is operated from the United States and data is stored there. If you use it from elsewhere, your information is transferred to the United States, with safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.
12. Children
Logtend is a business tool and isn't meant for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
13. Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the date above. For significant changes we'll also tell account owners by email or in the app. See also our Terms of Service.
