Terms of Service
Last updated October 16, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Tapronix LLC (“Tapronix”, “we”, “us”) for the use of Logtend, our maintenance tracking service at logtend.com and app.logtend.com (the “Service”). If you use the Service for a company, you agree on behalf of that company and confirm you're allowed to. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. The Service
Logtend helps businesses track maintenance for vehicles and equipment: assets, schedules, meter readings, work orders, inspections, check-outs, documents and renewals, reports and reminders. We may improve, add or change features over time. If we remove something important you pay for, we'll tell you in advance.
2. Accounts and your team
Each customer is a company account (“Company”) with people invited to it. The person who creates the Company is its owner. Owners and admins control who has access, their roles, the plan and billing, and are responsible for everything done in the Company's account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep sign-in codes and links to yourself; tell us right away if you think someone else has access.
- Only invite people you're allowed to share your Company's data with.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
3. Trial, plans and billing
New Companies get a 30-day free trial with no payment details required. Companies with 5 or fewer active assets may use the Service free of charge; we may change the free allowance with notice.
- Paid plans are priced per active asset (assets that aren't retired or archived) and billed monthly or yearly in advance, as shown on the plan page when you subscribe. Users are unlimited.
- The number of assets billed updates automatically as you add or retire assets. Monthly plans reflect the change on the next bill; yearly plans are charged or credited pro rata for the rest of the year.
- Plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time in Plan & billing; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices exclude taxes, which are added where required. If a payment fails we'll retry and let you know; if it still can't be collected we may limit access until it's paid.
- Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or we say so in writing.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
4. Your data
Everything your Company puts into Logtend (asset records, readings, work orders, inspections, photos, documents and so on) is your data (“Customer Data”). You own it. You give us permission to host, process, copy and display it only as needed to run, secure and support the Service for you, and as described in our Privacy Policy.
You're responsible for the Customer Data you upload and for having the right to upload it. We may use aggregated, de-identified information that can't identify you or your Company to understand and improve the Service.
You can export your data at any time from Reports (CSV) and from each asset (PDF history). After your account ends we keep Customer Data for 30 days so you can export it, then delete it from active systems; backups are overwritten on their normal schedule.
5. QR stickers and public reports
If your Company uses Logtend QR stickers, anyone who scans one can see the asset's ID, name and type and your Company name, and can submit a problem report with photos. You decide where stickers are placed and can turn public reports off in Settings. Reports are submitted by people who aren't parties to these terms; we don't check them, and you're responsible for how you act on them.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or upload content you don't have the right to share, or that is harmful, unlawful or infringing;
- try to access other customers' data, probe or break our security, or get around usage or billing limits;
- overload, disrupt, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, except as the law permits;
- resell the Service or use it to build a competing product.
We may suspend access that puts the Service, other customers or the public at risk, and will tell you when we reasonably can.
7. Maintenance decisions stay with you
Logtend is a record-keeping and reminder tool. It doesn't replace manufacturer instructions, qualified technicians, inspections or your legal and safety obligations. Due dates, reminders and reports are only as accurate as the information entered, and emails can be delayed or missed. You remain responsible for deciding when equipment is safe to use, for maintaining it, and for keeping any records the law requires.
8. Availability, support and changes
We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance or because of problems with providers we rely on. Support is available by email at our contact form.
9. Third-party services
The Service uses third-party providers for hosting, storage, email and payments (listed in our Privacy Policy). Their services are subject to their own terms. Links to other sites are provided for convenience.
10. Disclaimers
Except as expressly stated in these terms, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or equipment downtime, and our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose. These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them to.
12. Indemnity
You'll defend and indemnify Tapronix against third-party claims arising from your Customer Data or your use of the Service in breach of these terms or the law, and pay resulting damages and reasonable costs.
13. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the Service and cancel your plan at any time. We may end or suspend your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or don't pay, with notice where reasonable. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as data, disclaimers, liability and indemnity) continue after the agreement ends.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Tapronix LLC is organized and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek urgent relief in any competent court.
